Introduction to solar water heaters solar panels are used to heat domestic water.

The heat collected by the absorber is transferred to the silicone rubber pipe through which the water passes.
The glass tube is then sealed so that the tube tail is protruding and placed under a permanent vacuum, effectively reducing any heat loss to the atmosphere.
Many glass pipe components are installed in the frame, and the rear end of the silicone rubber pipe is connected to the inlet and outlet manifold at both ends of the frame.
The manifold is terminated at an inlet and outlet pipe joint.
Domestic water enters the inlet pipe sink at the bottom of the panel and rises through the panel when it is heated from the outlet of the top pipe sink.
Since there is no antifreeze in the system, domestic hot water can be cycled through water tanks and solar panels in the direct heating system.
In the case of solar panels using antifreeze, another coil must be installed on the existing water tank, or a brand new hot water tank with an extra copper coil.
This is called an indirect system and must be used to separate the antifreeze mixture from the domestic hot water.
The water from the solar panel outlet manifold enters the top of the hot water tank, and the cooler water at the bottom of the tank is pulled out and pumped back to the solar panel inlet manifold.
